Remembering a Hero

Welcome to the scholarship foundation site for SSG. Donald D. Griffith Jr.  We are asking for your support in helping us keep the memory of fallen soldier Donald Griffith Jr. alive.  He was killed in Tal Afar, Iraq while trying to protect his fellow soldiers during a suicide bombing on March 15th, 2005.  All non-monetary donations such as gift certificates will be used in a raffle and silent auction held in Mechanicsville, IA every January.  All money raised goes to a scholarship fund in his name, and is awarded in scholarships to students in police force education or veterinarian medicine programs.
